# Newcastle United: Allan Saint-Maximin’s tweet has supporters praising winger ahead of Oxford clash

**Ahead of Newcastle United’s looming [FA Cup replay](https://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/sport/18206500.oxford-uniteds-fa-cup-replay-newcastle-united-poised-sell/) away to Oxford United, Magpies supporters have taken to Twitter and praised winger Allan Saint-Maximin’s heartfelt [social media post](https://twitter.com/asaintmaximin/status/1223946919694798850) with his daughter – prompting supporters to be grateful that the Frenchman is back from injury and enjoying life.**

Saint-Maximin, who couldn’t help his side break through a stern Norwich City defence in their last [Premier League outing](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vc833LbPUx8), has recently returned to the fold after a [hamstring injury](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50751016) ruled him out for the entirety of the festive period. The Frenchman, who has been a crucial figure judging by his stats, has completed more dribbles ([4.4](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/135891/Show/Allan-Saint-Maximin)) per game than any other Magpies player this season ([WhoScored.com](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/23/Show/England-Newcastle-United)) – potentially highlighting his creative influence under manager Steve Bruce.

As a result, a lot of Newcastle fans are keen to see him back to his best, with their next Premier League clash away to Arsenal being just under a fortnight away – giving Saint-Maximin some time to find his feet when it comes to fitness and recovery.

Here’s how supporters lauded the 22-year-old’s message [on Twitter](https://twitter.com/asaintmaximin/status/1223946919694798850).
