# Newcastle United: Club make DeAndre Yedlin transfer offer

**Newcastle United are at risk of losing DeAndre Yedlin as [ESPN](https://www.espn.co.uk/football/soccer-transfers/story/4299679/usmnts-deandre-yedlin-has-galatasaray-offer-sources) have reported that Galatasaray have made a transfer offer for the St. James’ Park man.**

As per the sports news outlet, Yedlin’s current deal in the North East runs out in June, and the Turkish team, who have a bit of European pedigree having won the UEFA Cup, which is now called the UEFA Europa League, against Arsenal in 2000, have reportedly offered him a three-and-a-half-year contract.

The preference of the USA international is to sign a new deal and thus stay at the Tyneside club, but the Magpies may opt to sell him this month for a fee rather than lose him for nothing in the summer.

### Time up for Yedlin at Newcastle

Time may well be up for Yedlin on Tyneside, given that the 27-year-old has only played in a mere 10 games in all competitions in the 2020/21 term so far, and has not even been chosen by Steve Bruce to be in the squad for the last two matches in the Premier League ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/deandre-yedlin/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/255916/plus/0?saison=2020&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=)).

The right-back, currently valued at £4.5m by [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/deandre-yedlin/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/255916/plus/0?saison=2020&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=), also has quite a bad [injury history](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/deandre-yedlin/verletzungen/spieler/255916) at the Toon, and so it may well be time for NUFC to cut their losses on him.
