# Newcastle United: Fans loved Allan Saint-Maximin’s message following Bournemouth win

**Following in the footsteps akin to the likes of Demba Ba, Papiss Cisse and Jonas Gutierrez in recent seasons, Allan Saint-Maximin appears to be Newcastle’s latest cult hero, especially after his performances of late and social media antics.**

The former France U21 international has been a shining light in the Magpies’ otherwise quality bereft team, [putting in Man of the Match worthy displays](https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-allan-saint-maximin-17191641) going forward in both of their last two games during impressive victories over West Ham and Bournemouth.

When Saint-Maximin isn’t being the creative force at the centre of Newcastle’s threat in the final third, he can be seen [engaging with the community on Tyneside](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-england-tyne-49465159/newcastle-united-player-allan-saint-maximin-visits-west-end-food-bank) or joking along with supporters on social media.

Following the [Frenchman’s latest Twitter message](https://twitter.com/asaintmaximin/status/1193265111630262272?s=21) after their 2-1 home win, a match where he was unlucky not to open his account, it’s clear supporters have found a new idol.

Here’s how the Geordie faithful praised Saint-Maximin after another brilliant performance.
