Neil Redfearn was appointed as Newcastle under-23 head coach just six months ago, but after falling out with academy bosses, he has stormed out the exit door – with some fans not reacting too kindly.

Redfearn, who previously managed Leeds United in a caretaker capacity for two seasons, had spells coaching sides in the Women’s division before joining the Magpies academy – where he was tasked with nurturing the club’s up and coming talent.
The ex-Barnsley midfielder was originally brought in to replace Peter Beardsley following accusations of alleged racism towards young players.
However, despite having a hand in the development of Magpies favourite Matty Longstaff, the 54-year-old has walked out amid apparent rumours he was disillusioned with the youth set up at St. James’ Park, going on to have a furious row with academy staff.
As a result, these Newcastle supporters have stormed social media in rage over the news, hinting that the club they support is in total disarray…
