### **The Verdict: Great potential**

The ‘[teen sensation](https://soccernet.ng/2020/12/noni-madueke-meet-the-teen-sensation-who-is-eligible-for-nigeria.html)‘ is well known for his [pace and trickery](https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2021/03/24/noni-madueke-compared-to-phil-foden-spurs-coaches-absolutely-loved-him/), with many pundits having backed the attacker to become an England star.

Former England U21 boss [Aidy Boothroyd](https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2021/03/24/noni-madueke-compared-to-phil-foden-spurs-coaches-absolutely-loved-him/) previously raved about the youngster, comparing the way he burst onto the scene to that of Phil Foden.

\[freshpress-poll id=”401684″\]

“He’s certainly a very talented young man, really excited to be called up by the Under 21s, and a little bit like Phil \[Foden\] last time, nobody had really heard of him until he came and played in the tournament.”

With such obvious potential – [Football Talent Scout Jacek Kulig](https://twitter.com/FTalentScout/status/1424075991069208579) called him ‘crazy good’ and ‘incredible’ – this would be a major swoop for Newcastle, fending off serious competition for a highly sought after talent.
