Journalist Sacha Tavolieri has revealed that Newcastle United could sign Michy Batshuayi ahead of both Leeds United and Everton.

The Lowdown: Out of favour

After a stunning five loan spells away from Stamford Bridge, Batshuayi is still finding himself falling out of favour at Chelsea as his contract ticks into its final 12 months.

The Belgium international has not yet made an appearance for the Blues this season, and so does not seem to be in Thomas Tuchel's long-term plans.

The Latest: Newcastle interest

Taking to Twitter, Tavolieri has revealed that the St. James' Park could be one of the 'solutions' for Batshuayi in terms of leaving Chelsea, alongside Leeds, adding that he 'would not suit' a move to Everton:

"About the possible arrival of Michy #Batshuayi to #EvertonFC: Been told the system setup by Frank #Lampard would not suit the player's football well. #Leeds & #Newcastle could be other solutions until the end of transfer window. #Chelsea leaning towards a definitive sale."

The Verdict: Pedro alternative?

Watford striker has been strongly linked with a move to the North East this window, but if a move for him ends up falling through, then Batshuayi could be seen as a good alternative.

Already with a decent amount of Premier League 161 senior goals for club and country combined over the course of his career so far.

Alexander Isak, a centre-forward also capable of playing on the wing, looks set to become the club's big marquee signing of the summer, so adding Batshuayi on the cheap alongside the towering Sweden starlet would immediately solve the attacking depth at St. James' Park.
