Many Newcastle United fans have been discussing claims made by Paul Dummett after he spoke to NUFC TV (via ChronicleLive) with regards to the 2019/20 Premier League season resuming again.

As per the outlet, Dummett claimed that the supporters are a massive part of football, adding that everyone in the Tyneside area lives and breathes the beautiful game.

The 28-year old also admitted that it will not be great without the Magpies fans there but stressed that the safety of everybody is the most important thing and hoped that they can celebrate at home whenever Steve Bruce’s team score.

Amongst other topics, Dummett labelled the possibility of getting to the FA Cup semi-final, and then playing it in front of no fans, as typical of the Tyneside club but accepts that beating Manchester City will be no easy task.
