Newcastle United fans seem to have gotten what they were crying out for as they can now apply for a refund or equivalent account credit for any single match tickets or hospitality for any games from the Premier League or the FA Cup that they were due to attend or have missed already, according to the Tyneside club’s official website.
As per nufc.co.uk, members of the Toon faithful who bought tickets for the Sheffield United or West Ham matches or the upcoming FA Cup home clash against Manchester City at St. James’ Park have been sent an email this week with an online form through which they can avail of the refund for those fixtures.
Also, those Newcastle supporters who bought single game hospitality tickets for those same matches, as well as the games against Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur or Liverpool will also be sent an email link to their online account where they can refund those tickets should they wish.
Given that the Magpies were the officially the last club in the top flight to offer this option, this may come as a welcome relief to some fans who have bought tickets for the matches in question.
Following the global coronavirus outbreak, no supporters will be allowed to enter football stadia for the remainder of the season, and so they are forced to watch the games from their screens at home.
Nevertheless, this will come as an added bonus to the Geordie faithful, having already seen their side collect four points out of a possible six since the restart.
Do you think Newcastle can finish in the top half of the Premier League?
