Newcastle United: Fans slam takeover news from Miguel Delaney

Plenty of Newcastle United fans have slammed news on the prospective takeover in the northeast from Miguel Delaney after his latest article for The Independent stated that a decision on the proposed deal between Mike Ashley and Amanda Staveley’s Saudi-led consortium will apparently not be expected until mid-June.
The journalist added that the bid is still unlikely to be settled for some time as the process has continued to unsettle many, including it seems several members of the Toon faithful as they voiced their frustrations on Twitter.
Delaney suggests that the Premier League are still awaiting the decision by the World Trade Organization (WTO) on the Saudi involvement in piracy before deciding as to whether or not to fully approve of the takeover at St. James’ Park.
The writer touched on a few other subjects in his report but it seems as if some Newcastle supporters did not agree with what he was saying based on their overly negative reactions. These Magpies fans in particular slammed Delaney after hearing about the news:
The suggestion is that the Premier League are awaiting the WTO decision on Saudi involvement in piracy before deciding whether or not to approve the takeover. #nufc

I wouldn’t believe a word written by that guy. A man who’s spent the last few weeks arguing with more reputable journalists than himself & baiting #nufc fans & attacking their character & moralistic integrity does little to indere him to anyone

He doesn’t have a clue, not a toon fans favourite reporter
