Some Newcastle United fans have been buzzing as news emerged from the BBC about the Tyneside club being accused of a ‘dereliction of duty’ over their season ticket plans for the next campaign.

As per the outlet, the Newcastle United Supporters’ Trust (NUST) sent a letter last week asking for confirmation of refunds, with games set to be played behind closed doors.

It also wants season ticket payments for the 2020/21 term to be paused, as most clubs in the Premier League have said they will refund or credit season ticket holders for behind-closed-doors matches.

The Magpies are yet to announce their plans, as The Trust’s letter, addressed to Lee Charnley, comes at a time when the team and supporters are anxiously waiting on a proposed £300 million takeover to be cleared by the top flight.
