The Newcastle Consortium Supporters Ltd (NCSL) have replied to a tweet from Nick De Marco QC amid talk of the proposed £300m takeover of Newcastle United by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) consortium.

The sports lawyer, who may be representing Mike Ashley in a possible court case versus the Premier League, tweeted about a link between his family and the city, which prompted a reply from a member of the NCSL reading:

"I look forward to having that beer with you when this is all done! Take care Nick and keep doing what you’re doing."

Can De Marco help Newcastle win the takeover battle?

The fact that De Marco and the NCSL seem to be in close relation, added to the former's relationship with the North East suggests that he will do his very best to get a positive result for the St. James' Park faithful if the legal dispute between the Tyneside club and the English top flight had to be settled in front of a judge.

He also has a very good reputation in the world of sports law, and so members of the Toon Army can take a lot of encouragement if he is chosen to represent Ashley in court.

However, until a set of dates are decided as to when this could occur, everything is all speculation up until this point in time.
