Pete Graves has given a rather positive update on the proposed takeover of Newcastle United as he responded to a fan on his official Twitter page.
As per the tweet of the Sky Sports journalist, he says that the final decision still remains with the Premier League and clarified that he does not think that the chances of the prospective takeover happening are not over yet.
Over? No. But I'm not gonna rubbish anyone else's info cos clearly mine (that it should go through quickly) has proved to be wrong. And for that I apologise to all of you. Genuinely! As far as I'M aware. It's remains with PL. #nufc 🙏🏼 x https://t.co/3Mnpnhp2lA

Indeed, there have been various claims and reports that the £300 million deal between Mike Ashley and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabian (KSA) group may be in danger of collapse given just how long the whole saga has dragged on for now.
A recent report from the Daily Mirror has claimed that the bid has been indefinitely stalled as the Tyneside club are apparently planning for the next season under Mike Ashley and with Steve Bruce remaining as their manager.
The buying side, consisting of the KSA crown prince Mohammed bin Salman (MbS), his country’s Public Investmebt Fund (PIF), businesswoman and head of PCP Capital Partners Amanda Staveley and the billionaire Reuben brothers, are also still yet to hear the official results of the Owners’ and Directors’ Test (ODT) set out by the top flight, which would likely go a long way in terms of giving an incline as to how the final decision will be made.
Will Newcastle takeover leader MbS pass the ODT set out by the Premier League?
Nevertheless, everything is all speculation up until this point in time, as eager members of the Toon Army anxiously twitch their thumbs in the hope that the takeover will be given the green light by England’s highest division.
Geordies, are the chances of the takeover happening over for you? Comment below!
