Newcastle United could effectively confirm their safety in the Premier League for another season if they can manage to collect all three points versus Aston Villa tomorrow.

A convincing 3-0 win against Chris Wilder's European-chasing Sheffield United on Sunday has put the Tyneside club on 38 points in the league table with eight games still to play, and another win against lowly Villa would put them on 41 and all but guarantee their safety.

On the other hand, Dean Smith's team lay in 19th place in the league on 26 points and arguably need the win more, but that should not distract Steve Bruce's side from going in for the kill.

One player who could be vital if they are to win at St James' Park is Javier Manquillo. The right-back is likely to be responsible for making sure that Jack Grealish does not influence the game, as Villa's captain has scored seven goals and provided six assists in 28 matches in the top flight, with 18 of those coming from the left-wing, according to Transfermarkt.

Having played on the left against Chelsea as well, it is likely that Manquillo will be up against the 24-year old, and this could be a key battle in the match at St James' Park.

There is no doubt that Manquillo will have to be on the top of his game, but the Spaniard has won 3.9 duels per Premier League match so far in the 2019/20 season, whilst also averaging two tackles and clearances, as per Sofascore. Therefore, he could be the right man to halt Grealish in his tracks.

The 26-year old will surely be vital for the Magpies if he can stop Grealish and thus help the Toon claim another three points.
