# Newcastle United: Saint-Maximin tweet following dramatic Everton draw has these fans gushing

**After Newcastle United favourite Allan Saint-Maximin displayed his reaction on Twitter to the Magpies’ [heroic 2-2 draw](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51101528) at Everton on Tuesday evening, supporters hailed the winger’s assumed excitement thanks to defender Florian Lejeune’s dramatic brace in added time.**

Strikes from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Moise Kean in either half originally gave Newcastle a mountain to climb, with Steve Bruce’s side barely threatening to cut the deficit until the final few minutes – eventually resulting in the French centre-back burying a sublime overhead kick before he bundled home the unlikely leveller just a few moments later.

Euphoria in the Magpies away end at Goodison Park immediately followed, meanwhile Saint-Maximin displayed his excitement on Twitter with a clip of a man simply screaming [‘Oh my God!’](https://twitter.com/asaintmaximin/status/1219735123974860802).

The former Nice winger, when playing for Newcastle, stands out as a key creative influence – completing 4.2 dribbles per game and mounting 1.5 efforts on average,[as per WhoScored.com](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/135891/History/Allan-Saint-Maximin). Fellow winger Christian Atsu hasn’t been able to replicate that kind of form in his absence, averaging just [0.9](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/96257/Show/Christian-Atsu) dribbles and [0.3](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/96257/Show/Christian-Atsu) efforts per game by comparison.

However, even though he cannot help them on the pitch right now due to recovery from [an injury](https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-allan-saint-maximin-physio-17592740), his celebrations off the pitch have warranted even more praise – here’s how supporters reacted on Twitter.
