Newcastle United are at risk of losing DeAndre Yedlin as ESPN have reported that Galatasaray have made a transfer offer for the St. James’ Park man.
As per the sports news outlet, Yedlin’s current deal in the North East runs out in June, and the Turkish team, who have a bit of European pedigree having won the UEFA Cup, which is now called the UEFA Europa League, against Arsenal in 2000, have reportedly offered him a three-and-a-half-year contract.
Should Newcastle sell Yedlin?
The preference of the USA international is to sign a new deal and thus stay at the Tyneside club, but the Magpies may opt to sell him this month for a fee rather than lose him for nothing in the summer.
Time up for Yedlin at Newcastle
Time may well be up for Yedlin on Tyneside, given that the 27-year-old has only played in a mere 10 games in all competitions in the 2020/21 term so far, and has not even been chosen by Steve Bruce to be in the squad for the last two matches in the Premier League (Transfermarkt).
