Former Arsenal ace Aaron Ramsey has rejected a bid from Newcastle United to sign him, according to Nicolo Schira.
As per the sports journalist, the Tyneside club had shown interest in the Juventus man last week and the Magpies had opened talks to sign him in the summer transfer window, but Schira understands that Ramsey has rejected the bid.

The Toon reportedly would have offered him the same deal as his current one at the Italian giants, with rich bonuses as well as a €20 million transfer fee, which is the equivalent of around £18 million.
Indeed, Ramsey endured quite a frustrating debut season with Juve, having played in a total of 35 matches in all competitions in the 2019/20 term but completing the full 90 minutes in just one of those games (per Transfermarkt).
Does Ramsey start for Newcastle?
Andrea Pirlo’s side may look to cash in on the Welsh international after just one year, and the opportunity of a nice profit on the man that they signed from the Gunners on a free transfer last summer may be too much to turn down.
A deal may work for all parties involved. Ramsey has considerable pedigree in England, having scored a relatively impressive 64 times and contributed a further 65 assists in 369 appearances for the Gooners over 11 consecutive terms, mainly operating from the centre of the park (via Transfermarkt).
The central midfielder also won three FA Cup titles during his time in North London, as well as two Community Shield trophies, according to the website.
At 29 years of age too, Ramsey still has legs left in him and so it may be a good time for Steve Bruce to pounce on his services, providing that they can attain his signature.
