Newcastle United: Jetro Willems sends message to Toon Army

Former Newcastle United defender sent a message to supporters as the 11pm transfer deadline loomed on Monday evening.
No return for Willems
The 26-year-old spent last season on loan at St James’ Park from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt and quickly affiliated himself with the supporters during that timeframe, despite picking up a serious knee injury.
Manager Steve Bruce had already commented recently (via Shields Gazette) on the links with a return for Willems, and now the Dutchman himself has confirmed any potential move is dead in the water as Monday’s deadline looms.
When asked by a supporter on Twitter whether he is making a return to Newcastle, all he needed was one word to get the message across.
Nope

Transfer Tavern Verdict
This will disappoint segments of the St James’ Park faithful following his brief spell on Tyneside – Willems scored twice and assisted twice in 18 top flight starts (Whoscored).
That being said, his recent injury may have been enough to put off the Magpies for the time being, but that’s not to say they couldn’t plot a move for the summer if the former fan favourite is back to full fitness.
In other news, Neil Lennon finally makes decision on Newcastle United target.
