Arsenal fans haven’t had an awful lot to celebrate over the last couple of months.
Obviously, the Gunners’ top-four bid fell apart at the end of the season with defeats to Wolves, Crystal Palace and Leicester before their thrashing at the hands of Chelsea in the Europa League final, although Rob Holding’s return to training (a picture of him in action was tweeted out by Arsenal fan account LTArsenal) is something to arguably be positive about.

The young English defender suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury back in December whilst playing in Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford, and he’s only just getting back to fitness now. At the time of the blow, the Arsenal website claimed he’d be out for between six and nine months, so the 2019/20 season will mark his return.
It will be a return that a lot of Arsenal fans are desperate for. Back in early December just before Holding suffered the nasty season-ending injury he was winning plaudits all over for his defensive performances.
Former Arsenal hero Ray Parlour lavished the youngster in praise, claiming in a Daily Star exclusive that Holding reminded him of a young Tony Adams, citing his mental toughness as a reason for the comparison between the 23-year-old and the Arsenal great.

Hoping he can show the form and commitment he was before his injury. Future captain for sure all the best @RobHolding95
