Crystal Palace: Fans joke about Bendtner’s anger at Wenger for denying Eagles move

Many Crystal Palace fans have joked on Twitter about the emerging news that Nicklas Bendtner called Arsene Wenger profane names after he denied him a move to Selhurst Park.
The Danish striker was reportedly close to a move to Crystal Palace on deadline day of 2013, however, Wenger blocked the move.
Bendtner has now revealed that he called Arsene Wenger all sorts of names in his recent autobiography Both Sides following the failed move, after Arsenal could not find a replacement, despite Palace offering him big money.
Palace fans on Twitter have found the funny side of the recent news story, with many saying that Arsene Wenger has done the Eagles a huge favour by denying the move.
It’s hard to argue with these fans, as the 31-year-old’s career has hardly taken off since that move. He tried his hand at Wolfsburg and Nottingham Forest, but failed to be a consistent first-teamer at either club, as suggested by stats from Soccerbase.
He is currently at Copenhagen – the place of his birth – after impressing at Rosenborg in recent years, scoring 24 goals in 57 league games for the club.
Below is what some of the Palace fans are saying on Twitter…
Donβt blame him. Wenger blocking Bendtner a move to a top club is out of order…. #CPFChttps://t.co/6KilKvq69P
