Arsenal supporters have been reacting to the Premier League club’s success at the London Football Awards on Monday evening.

The Lowdown: Quartet of winners

The Gunners were in attendance at the iconic Roundhouse at the start of the week for the ceremony that recognises outstanding performances and achievements across all London top-flight, EFL and Women’s Super League clubs.

Mikel Arteta took home Manager of the Year, Martin Odegaard the Player of the Year, Bukayo Saka the Young player of the Year and finally Aaron Ramsdale the Goalkeeper of the Year (Charles Watts).

The London Football Awards takes place in aid of the Willow Foundation which the boss mentioned during his acceptance speech. He said:

“I’m very honoured to be part of the Willow Foundation with all the incredible work you’ve been doing for 23 years.

"In our job, we have the opportunity to make a lot of people happy and improve their lives. Thanks again for being part of that. I would like to thank you for the award - to all my colleagues, all the staff, everybody at the club who inspires and supports me every single day.”

The Latest: Arsenal fans react…

The Verdict: Fully deserved

Arsenal have been a completely different team this season and that’s thanks to both Arteta and the squad’s consistently high level of performance so these awards are fully deserved.

The N7 outfit are currently five points clear of their rivals Manchester City at the top of the table with just 11 games to go so will be on course to lift the trophy should they maintain their excellent run of form.

Last Sunday’s 3-0 result over Fulham marked the manager’s 100th victory since taking charge in the capital, giving him a win percentage of 59.5%.

The Gunners’ official website has stated that this makes the Spaniard the highest rated for any permanent manager in the club’s history, even topping Arsene Wenger, and he will continue to be key to his side’s success in years to come.
