# Norwich City: Fans give Todd Cantwell’s goal their approval in September goal of the month debate

**Norwich City fans were giving Todd Cantwell’s strike against Manchester City their vote as the club’s goal of the month for September.**

The youngster scored a brilliant counter-attacking goal, featuring Marco Stiepermann and Teemu Pukki, to put the Canaries 2-0 up in their encounter against the defending champions [(via BBC)](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49617989).

However, since the win over the Citizens, Norwich have been in free fall, losing three Premier League games on the bounce against West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa [(via WhoScored)](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/168/Show/England-Norwich).

The Norfolk side have also struggled to score since the game against Pep Guardiola’s side, [scoring just once in the last three games](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/168/Show/England-Norwich).

After the damaging defeats, Norwich sit in the relegation zone on just six points from eight games [(via Premier League)](https://www.premierleague.com/tables).

Despite the recent results in the league, the fans still took to Twitter as they gave the 21-year-old Cantwell their vote for goal of the month.

Here is a selection of tweets from the Carrow Road faithful:
