# Nottingham Forest: Fans big up Matty Cash after he captains side to 3-0 win over Derby County

**Nottingham Forest fans praised and congratulated Matty Cash after the Reds beat East Midlands rivals Derby County 3-0.**

Cash was handed the captain’s armband on the 83rd minute after captain for the night Joe Worrall was substituted [(via WhoScored)](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1381398/Live/England-Championship-2019-2020-Fulham-Nottingham-Forest).

Cash had a good game at right-back as Sabri Lamouchi’s side swept aside their Championship rivals. The fullback was given an 8/10 rating by [Nottinghamshire Live](https://www.nottinghampost.com/sport/football/football-news/nottingham-forest-player-ratings-star-3256664), who praised his energetic display.

The Englishman has enjoyed a good start to the season so far, starting all but two of the club’s games in the league and Carabao Cup [(via WhoScored)](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/322043/Show/Matthew-Cash).

The win against Derby extends Lamouchi’s unbeaten run to six games so far, with the Frenchman’s only loss coming in the opening game against [West Bromwich Albion.](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/174/Show/England-Nottingham-Forest)

Forest have a tough fixture next as they travel to fellow promotion-chasers Preston North End on Saturday afternoon.

Fans were chuffed for the 22-year-old following his short time as captain and took to Twitter to praise and congratulate him.
