Nottingham Forest: Fans rage over the performance of Cyrus Christie

Many Nottingham Forest fans are fuming at the performance of defender Cyrus Christie following the match against Millwall on Saturday.
Chris Hughton’s side drew 1-1 against the London side and, all in all, that was a good result, however, the right-back clearly wasn’t at his best during the match.
He picked up a 6.3 rating (SofaScore) and this was the third-lowest of any player on the pitch. Christie looked weak as he lost four aerial duels and three ground duels. He also gave the ball away 33 times, so it is understandable to see why one fan called him ‘shocking’.
With Forest in a relegation battle, the club needs to be at their best and Christie will have to show a lot of improvement in their upcoming games.
As things stand, the side sits 20th, however, they are only one point away from the relegation zone and four points away from the bottom of the division (SofaScore).
Here is what these Forest fans had to say following the performance of Christie:
Christie jogging back for their goal is shocking 😡 #NFFC

Christie just does what he wants, he doesn’t look to see if it’s on, he just does it brainlessly, and normally with terrible execution #NFFC

The sooner Christie and Yates are out of this team we’d look a lot better! #NFFC

Christie & Yates are the weak links in this team #NFFC

#nffc good point and good to get a goal. Not quite sure why @BBCRNS are suggesting that Yates “had a good game”. Gave the ball away five times within first 10 minutes. I stopped counting after that. Christie equally poor.

Christie must be one of the worst RB ive seen not just in a forest shirt bot in any team
Takes an age just to take s throw in#nffc— Chris (@ChrisMoorland) December 19, 2020
I’ll take it. Really happy for Mighten. We gave possession away far too easily. Christie went missing #nffc
