The Lowdown: Danilo linked with Forest move
The Reds had a summer transfer window to remember if you’re a fan who loves a bit of transfer gossip, and it could be that January is also a busy month at the club.
The Reds certainly aren’t alone in showing an interest in signing the 21-year-old, but an encouraging update is now doing the rounds.
The Latest: Forest in pole
According to Calciomercato [via Sport Witness], the other clubs who are keen on signing Danilo ‘need to pay particular attention’ to Forest, who are seen as the front-runners for his signature and are readying a £18m offer.
A January move is in the offing and the Reds are thought to be ‘close’ to the midfielder, whose current Palmeiras deal expires in December 2026.
The Verdict: Potentially superb signing
This is hugely exciting news from a Forest perspective, considering they are ahead of a number of their Premier League rivals in the battle to snap up Danilo.
Would Pinamonti be a good signing for Forest?
He is a player of massive potential, having been hailed for his ‘superb long passing ability’ by football talent scout Jacek Kulig, as well as being a ‘tenacious tackler’ – he averages 2.1 tackles per game.
Danilo could be an upgrade on what Steve Cooper currently has in his midfield, with the likes of Ryan Yates, Cheikhou Koyate and Lewis O’Brien all arguably having hit-and-miss seasons to date.
