Nottingham Forest: Reds preparing offer for Morgan Gibbs-White

Nottingham Forest: Reds preparing offer for Morgan Gibbs-White -Nottingham Forest News

Nottingham Forest are ‘weighing up’ a bid to sign Wolves midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White this summer, says reliable journalist John Percy.

The Lowdown: Gibbs-White on the move?

The Englishman was loaned out to Sheffield United last season and enjoyed a fantastic spell there, registering 22 goal contibutions (12 goals and ten assists) in the Championship.

Now, it looks as though Gibbs-White could leave Wolves permanently this summer, with Forest among those circling for his signature if he is allowed to move on.

A fresh update has now emerged regarding the Reds’ interest, as Steve Cooper looks to make more summer signings following the captures of six first-team players already.

The Latest: Percy makes Forest claim

According to The Telegraph‘s Percy, Forest are ‘weighing up’ an offer for Gibbs-White, with Crystal Palace also credited with the same level of interest.

The youngster has been offered a new deal at Wolves but is yet to make a decision over his future.

Gibbs-White has an enormous amount of potential and could be a hugely exciting signing by Forest this summer, should they manage to get a deal over the line.

The midfielder was hailed as ‘instrumental’ by Billy Sharp during his time at Sheffield United and his performances for them showed exactly what he is capable of.

He has also played seven times for England’s Under-21s, holding his own alongside an incredibly gifted young generation of players, while another Blades teammate, David McGoldrick, said the youngster has the ‘world at his feet’.

While Gibbs-White likely wouldn’t arrive on the cheap – Wolves already rejected a £25m bid from Everton – he is someone with the technical quality and work ethic to fit seamlessly into Cooper’s plans at Forest, improving squad depth and acting as a long-term signing.
