Middlesbrough have continued their excellent form in the Championship as they keep a close proximity to leaders Norwich.

Tony Pulis will be delighted to see the run of form Boro have enjoyed - form that could ultimately land them a place back in the top flight.

With a seven-game unbeaten run still firmly intact, Middlesbrough are right up there with as good a chance as ever to return to the Premier League.

So far, they have done everything right, but yet there is a feeling that Middlesbrough could be better as a team with a few top additions in the January transfer window.

Specifically, a winger could really do a job at the Riverside Stadium and a player potentially available to join the club is Chelsea's finest prospect Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Hudson-Odoi is a young talent that possesses immense potential as he looks to become a future star at Stamford Bridge.

Chances have been extremely rare for the 18-year-old in the first-team. Having seen the progress of fellow young countrymen going out on loan, the likes of Reiss Nelson and Mason Mount for example, Hudson-Odoi may feel inclined to do the same.

Middlesbrough would likely be happy to utilise the Englishman in order to progress him as a player because if he delivers consistently, Boro will benefit as well.

In terms of what he can offer, Hudson-Odoi is, at his core, a player with incredible flair. He has quick feet and a decent range of passing, and he's best used as a marauding winger capable of producing magic in the final third.

With promotion firmly in their sites, the acquisition of such an impressive talent could be influential in the title race and may even prove decisive.

His blinding pace and wonderful trickery makes him a youngster to keep your eyes on - as the future could certainly be very bright for Callum Hudson-Odoi.
