# Oumar Niasse keen to leave Everton on a permanent deal

**Oumar Niasse has not really lived up to the expectation Everton would have held for him when he arrived at Goodison Park.**

The Senegal international arrived at the Toffees for a fee of £16.11million in the winter transfer of 2016 under Roberto Martinez, per [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/oumar-niasse/transfers/spieler/209781/transfer_id/1425651).

However, he has struggled to make an impact and with Marco Silva at the helm, things do not look to have improved for the 28-year-old.

[According to reports by Fanatik, Fenerbahce have been linked with a move to bring Niasse back to Turkey, something that he appears keen on.](https://www.fanatik.com.tr/oumar-niasse-kiralik-olarak-gitmek-istemiyor-2032387)

However, it is also stressed that the forward would only complete a move if he were guaranteed a permanent transfer and a move to the Istanbul giants could be complicated.

Fenerbahce want to loan him for 18 months, the duration of his current deal, whilst Everton want to get a fee for a transfer before his contract expires.

Niasse clearly needs to leave Everton if he is to get regular football once again, although a move to Fenerbahce may not be on the cards.

With the complications thought to be surrounding a deal, the Toffees may decide to look elsewhere to try and offload the Martinez flop from their wage bill.

However, with a couple of weeks still to go until the January transfer window opens, the two sides could still come to an agreement that would end Niasse’s nightmare experience at Goodison Park.
