# Ousmane Dembele’s Barcelona woes are interesting Arsenal fans

**Most Arsenal fans seemed to think that their transfer window was over when they completed the signing of Mateo Guendouzi. The young French midfielder was their 5th signing and they only had a small budget for the window anyway. However, according to respected Barcelona journalist, Helena Condis, Ousmane Dembele wants out of the Nou Camp and The Gunners are keen to get him signed.**

> DEMBÉLÉ ([@Dembouz](https://twitter.com/Dembouz?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw)) está valorando buscar una salida del Barça. Cree que el fichaje de Malcom demuestra que no se apuesta por él. Su relación con Valverde es distante. Espera que le aclare qué rol tendrá, quiere protagonismo para explotar (….) A lot of Arsenal fans have been tweeting their club and demanding that they sign a winger. At first, it seemed that Kingsley Coman would be the right option for the club and he was the man who the Gunners were calling for However, with the latest revelation surrounding Dembele the Arsenal fans have been looking into the prospect of signing the 21-year-old World Cup-winning Barcelona star.

The only stumbling block would be the excessive price tag that Dembele would command. Just last summer the Frenchman signed for Barcelona from Dortmund for a fee of around £100 million. There’s no way Arsenal could afford to pay that sort of money this summer and the most sensible option for the club would be to sign the Frenchman on-loan this season with an option to buy next summer, it’s just a matter of finding a deal that Ernesto Valverde at Barcelona would agree to.

You can read the Arsenal fans’ verdict on Dembele here:

> We all have a hope that he’d join The Arsenal and imagine him on the right wing and Auba on the left.

Dembele would be a brilliant fit at The Emirates and the Arsenal fans know that they should be doing everything they can do sign the Frenchman.
