# Crystal Palace: Fans welcome transfer link to former Everton ace Idrissa Gueye

**Many Crystal Palace fans have been lauding a transfer link to Idrissa Gueye as [Le10 Sport](https://le10sport.com/football/mercato/exclu-mercato-psg-langleterre-reste-a-laffut-pour-idrissa-gueye-518726) have reported that he is likely to leave Paris Saint Germain in the current transfer window.**

According to the outlet, PSG need to sell players, with Gueye apparently the most likely to leave the French giants.

However, Roy Hodgson’s team may face competition from fellow Premier League rivals Manchester United, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers to get the former Aston Villa and Everton player’s signature over the line.

Indeed, the [£21.6m-valued](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/idrissa-gueye/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/126665/plus/0?saison=&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=GB1&pos=&trainer_id=) ace has a lot of experience in the English top flight, having racked up a total of 134 games over four consecutive seasons, scoring three goals and supplying a further six assists, as per [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/idrissa-gueye/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/126665/plus/0?saison=&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=GB1&pos=&trainer_id=).

One Eagles supporter claimed on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/cpfc_xtra/status/1306190521426206720) that the south London club should ‘replace Luka with him’; and based on the players’ statistics in their respective domestic leagues in 2019/20, it is hard to argue against Gueye being an upgrade on Milivojevic.

The Senegalese international averaged more tackles, interceptions, key passes, dribbles and through balls per game than the 29-year old Palace midfielder (via [Whoscored](https://www.whoscored.com/PlayerComparison)).
