# Crystal Palace: Fans react to Donny van de Beek update

**Crystal Palace have made a straight loan offer for Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek.**

That’s according to transfer expert [Fabrizio Romano](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1486120646568562695), who also added that United want his full salary covered. As to be expected, a number of Eagles fans have been reacting to the news on social media.

Patrick Vieira is [yet to add to his squad](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/crystal-palace/transfers/verein/873/plus/?saison_id=2021&pos=&detailpos=&w_s=w) during the January window but appears to be keen on taking Van de Beek to Selhurst Park until the end of the season. The 24-year-old is [yet](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/donny-van-de-beek/leistungsdaten/spieler/288255) to start a Premier League match this season, featuring in just [68](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/donny-van-de-beek/leistungsdaten/spieler/288255) minutes of top-flight action.

A number of clubs are interested in the midfielder, according to [Romano](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1486120646568562695), who revealed that Palace have made a ‘straight loan proposal’. United don’t want to include an option to buy in any temporary deal and want any club to cover the Dutchman’s [£120,000-a-week](https://www.spotrac.com/epl/manchester-united-fc/donny-van-de-beek-50108/) salary.
