# Wolves: Fans react to Patrick Cutrone news

**Many Wolves fans have been giving their thoughts as news emerged about Patrick Cutrone.**

As per [The Express & Star](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/wolverhampton-wanderers-fc/2021/07/08/patrick-cutrone-back-at-wolves-for-pre-season/), the 23-year-old has returned to the Midlands for pre-season training and hopes to have his future sorted out soon.

Cutrone has not had the best of times at Molineux, scoring a mere three goals in 28 games in all competitions across the last two seasons ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/patrick-cutrone/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/265078/plus/0?saison=&verein=543&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=)), and he has been shipped out on [loan](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/patrick-cutrone/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/265078) to both Fiorentina and Valencia.

However, given the nasty head injury that Raul Jimenez picked up last November, which consequently ruled him out for [the remainder of the season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/raul-jimenez/verletzungen/spieler/206040), new manager Bruno Lage may want to give the Italian a chance to impress, potentially as a backup striker to the Mexico international.
