# Tottenham: CBS reporter shares Pervis Estupinan update

**CBS journalist Ben Jacobs has shared a [Tottenham Hotspur](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-hotspur-news/) transfer update involving Villarreal defender Pervis Estupinan, with Spurs certainly not done after recent activity in the market.**

### The Lowdown: Spurs busy…

A trio of early [confirmed deals](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/yves-bissouma-tottenham-transfer-confirmed-b1006864.html) for Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma have been followed by the north Londoners [confirming](https://twitter.com/SpursOfficial/status/1542782886046306304) a move for Everton star Richarlison and making [headway](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/jun/29/spurs-close-on-deals-for-evertons-richarlison-and-barcelonas-lenglet) for Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet.

So far this summer, Spurs have displayed their full ambition for manager Antonio Conte as the Italian prepares for his first full [Premier League](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league-news/) season in charge of the club.

Reports have also suggested that Tottenham [could yet strengthen further](https://twitter.com/JacobsBen/status/1542434632716767233) before 2022/23 commences, with reliable reporter Jacobs now sharing what he knows on sporting director Fabio Paratici’s plans.

### The Latest: Jacobs makes Estupinan transfer claim…

Indeed, according to his information, there is ‘more to come’ from Tottenham.

Taking to [Twitter,](https://twitter.com/JacobsBen/status/1542434632716767233?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1542435389645983745%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es2_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.spurs-web.com%2Fspurs-news%2Freport-tottenham-considering-three-defenders-two-are-more-advanced%2F) he explained that Spurs are also ‘advanced’ over a move for Villarreal wing-back Estupinan.

Reacting to Richarlison’s move to N17, Jacobs explained: *“Good window so far for Spurs with Bissouma, Perisic and Forster also joining. Still more to come, especially a defender. Spurs considering Skriniar, Lenglet or Estupiñan with latter two a bit more advanced.”*

### The Verdict: Good news?

The Ecuador international could help to provide depth for Conte on the left flank, with it being reliably believed that the Tottenham manager ideally wants a [new full-back on either side](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/tottenham-transfers-bastoni-bremer-kostic-perisic-carrasco-tielemans-jesus-b1002640.html?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1653590315).

However, we’re under the impression that targets like Udinese left-back [Destiny Udogie](https://www.getfootballnewsitaly.com/2022/tottenham-interested-in-udineses-detiny-udogie/) could be more suited to Spurs, especially since the Udinese man comes with a [glowing reputation](https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/serie-a/udinese-cioffi-orgoglioso-dei-ragazzi-samardzic-e-stato-straordinario-come-soppy-e-udogie-1635081), while Estupinan’s performance figures for Villarreal (as per [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/839/Show/Spain-Villarreal)) don’t exactly stand out.
