If there’s one transfer saga that has dominated headlines for the majority of the summer window, it’s Wilfried Zaha’s and Crystal Palace.
The Ivorian winger has been linked with a move away from Selhurst Park for most of the transfer window, with BBC Sport reporting that Zaha is eager to leave Palace this summer in search of a club that can offer him European football.
For a while, Arsenal have been the club seemingly the favourites to sign Zaha this window, but, with the Gunners having completed a move for Nicolas Pepe (club’s official website), a move for the Palace star could be out of the question, which is where Everton come in.
Sky Sports News reported that the Toffees had submitted a bid of £55 million-plus Cenk Tosun and James McCarthy for Zaha, though Everton have since come out to confirm that no bid had been made (per Goal), leading to Harvey Jones from Fan TV to question Sky Sports’ intentions in reporting transfer deals this summer in the video below.
With a week of the transfer window left to go, Zaha’s future looks as unclear as ever, and it hasn’t been helped by the apparent false reporting of major news organisations.
Crystal Palace fans, where will Zaha end up this summer? Let us know!
