# Pochettino hits breakthrough as Spurs agree defender deal, move expected

**Though Mauricio Pochettino has firmly established himself as the darling of White Hart Lane during his two-year tenure in charge of Spurs, it’s not all been plain sailing.**

Noted for his transfer strategy, it’s easy to forget that even the best coaches can get things wrong in the treacherous waters of the market.

One glaring example of a Poch plot gone wrong is a certain Federico Fazio.

The Argentine defender was one of the first arrivals following the 44-year old’s move from Southampton, though largely failed to impress during his first season.

Instantly loaned back to former club Sevilla, the 29-year old is reportedly set for another move away from White Hart Lane.
