# Manchester United: Dean Jones makes Paul Pogba claim

**Transfer insider Dean Jones believes that Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba could be of interest to Juventus, as per [GiveMeSport](https://www.givemesport.com/87986762-man-united-major-update-on-paul-pogba-future-amid-huge-decision).**

### The Lowdown: Romano’s reveal

[Fabrizio Romano](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1505892040818966533) provided a major update on the future of Paulo Dybala on Monday afternoon.

[Like Pogba](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/paul-pogba/profil/spieler/122153), the 28-year-old is out of [contract](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/paulo-dybala/profil/spieler/206050) in the summer, with the transfer expert revealing that there is no agreement in place when it comes to agreeing on fresh terms.

Romano added that the Argentine forward won’t sign a new contract on current conditions and is set to leave Turin as a free agent in the summer.

### The Latest: Jones’ comments on Pogba

Talking to [GiveMeSport](https://www.givemesport.com/87986762-man-united-major-update-on-paul-pogba-future-amid-huge-decision) in a story shared just a few hours after Romano’s update on Dybala, Jones had this to say on the Italian giants possibly looking to re-sign the Frenchman as a result:

> “I’m told to watch out for Juve looking towards Pogba now that the situation around Dybala has become clear. This opens up the wage structure of the squad and I see this as another Pogback story in the making.”

### The Verdict: Best for all involved?

A return to Turin could well be of interest to Pogba, as [revealed](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1438881065276518400?s=20&t=plAfu33kb2K0WgdUccpj0A) by his agent at the beginning of the current campaign.

United are [reportedly](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/juventus-sign-pogba-april-ends-23441142) planning for life without the French midfielder, and although it would be a blow financially to lose their [club-record signing](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/manchester-united/transferrekorde/verein/985) for free, it could be the best decision in the long run.

He has missed large parts of the season through [injury](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/paul-pogba/leistungsdaten/spieler/122153), scoring just [once](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/paul-pogba/leistungsdaten/spieler/122153) in all competitions in 2021/22, so a fresh start for United and Pogba could suit all parties, especially with a new manager [set to come in](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/manchester-united-news/man-utd-manager-latest-pochettino-ten-hag-enrique-lopetegui/) at Old Trafford over the summer.
