# Potential Mourinho sale could seriously annoy Man United fans this summer

**Though Jose Mourinho delivered three trophies to Manchester United this season, the punters propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern still need some convincing.**

Many of our resident Red Devils don’t believe the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ has truly improved any player at his disposal this season and reports from [the Independent](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/manchester-united-transfer-news-ivan-perisic-personal-terms-50m-35m-willian-chelsea-anthony-martial-a7761851.html) have only annoyed them further.

They [claim](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/manchester-united-transfer-news-ivan-perisic-personal-terms-50m-35m-willian-chelsea-anthony-martial-a7761851.html) United could be open to offers for a certain Anthony Martial this summer, should they sign Inter Milan forward Ivan Perisic. The Croatian has recently been [strongly linked](https://twitter.com/SkyKaveh/status/869321570849894400) with a move to the Theatre of Dreams and [could](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/manchester-united-transfer-news-ivan-perisic-personal-terms-50m-35m-willian-chelsea-anthony-martial-a7761851.html) take the Frenchman’s place in the squad.

Martial’s understanding of the wide attacking position is [believed](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/manchester-united-transfer-news-ivan-perisic-personal-terms-50m-35m-willian-chelsea-anthony-martial-a7761851.html) to be different to that of Mourinho’s and, while the 21-year-old is not [thought](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/manchester-united-transfer-news-ivan-perisic-personal-terms-50m-35m-willian-chelsea-anthony-martial-a7761851.html) to officially be for sale, could be let go should the right offer come in.

The self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ is [said](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/manchester-united-transfer-news-ivan-perisic-personal-terms-50m-35m-willian-chelsea-anthony-martial-a7761851.html) to appreciate the former Monaco man’s talent, though likes his wide attackers in a certain mould.

As you can imagine, considering his start to life at Old Trafford, our resident Red Devils hope Martial sticks around.

**Thoughts?**
