Wolves winger Adama Traore is reportedly 'very upset' out on loan at Barcelona, having struggled to make his mark since leaving Molineux in January.

The Lowdown: Traore struggling on loan

The 26-year-old was loaned out to Barca during the winter transfer window, with Bruno Lage not convinced that the forward was a key part of his plans.

After starting brightly at the La Liga club, Traore has since become a peripheral figure under Xavi, having not started a league match (or even played more than 20 minutes as a substitute) since the end of February.

Barca have the chance to sign the Spaniard permanently at the end of the season, but a new update suggests that it won't happen.

The Latest: Traore 'upset' over the weekend

According to Sport [via Sport Witness], Traore was left 'very upset' after not even being asked to warm up in his side's 2-1 win over Real Mallorca at the weekend.

A permanent move to the Catalan giants is now thought to be 'very difficult', potentially leaving the speedy winger in limbo at the end of the season.

The Verdict: Time for Wolves to sell

If Barcelona don't want to extend Traore's stay, he will return to Wolves in the summer, but it may be time for the Old Gold to cut their ties with him completely.

The Spain international has all too often flattered to deceive with his end product, with 11 goals and 18 assists in 154 appearances simply not good enough for a player of his attacking ilk. Nor does it appear that his fortunes are improving while on loan in Catalunya, either, if this report is anything to go by.

Despite being hailed as 'devastating' by Andy Townsend, Wolves should cash in on Traore before they risk losing him for free next summer when his current Molineux deal expires.
