Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has come under criticism for his role in Leicester's goal in their Premier League meeting on Saturday.

The Lowdown: Chelsea on the climb

The Blues look to have finally settled the nerves and found some consistent form under Graham Potter, following up the dominant win against Borussia Dortmund with three points in a tricky away trip to the King Power Stadium.

They didn't have it all plain sailing on Saturday however, as Patson Daka responded to Ben Chilwell's stunning early goal with an impressive strike of his own from distance, tucking his finish into the near bottom corner from about 20 yards.

Kepa has been in fine form of late, keeping five clean sheets in his last nine games before the clash with the Foxes, but Goldbridge feels he could have done better...

The Latest: Goldbridge slams Kepa

The talkSPORT presenter was quick to take to Twitter after Daka's goal flew in, saying:

"Sorry but I think Kepa is so suspect. Makes goals look great but he should be saving a lot of these."

Nizaar Kinsella also noted that the Spain international was beaten at his near post, with plenty of fans referencing his weakness against shots from distance.

The Verdict: Harsh?

In truth, it feels harsh to criticise Kepa for the Daka goal, with Joao Felix largely responsible after losing the ball in a dangerous position.

That said, the Spaniard didn't exactly have his best game between the sticks either, completing only 20 of his 31 passes and registering no high claims and just one successful punch (Sofascore).

With Edouard Mendy still without a clear timeline for recovery after his finger surgery, Kepa is likely safe in his position for now, but he won't want to make a habit of conceding similar goals ahead of Potter's first full summer in charge, when he is sure to be handed a hefty war-chest by Todd Boehly.
