“Title charge” – Liverpool fans go wild over pre-Bournemouth update

A number of Liverpool supporters are delighted with the news that Luis Diaz will return to full training next week following a long-term injury.
The Lowdown: Diaz a big miss
The 26-year-old became a key man for the Reds as soon as he joined from Porto during last season’s January transfer window, having an instant impact.
Many believed Diaz would go up a further gear in 2022/23, but unfortunately, his campaign was halted by a knee injury suffered at Arsenal back in October.
The Colombian is working hard on making a comeback in the near future and it looks as though he will be back in the fold sooner rather than later.
The Latest: Fans delighted after update
Taking to Twitter, James Pearce relayed that Diaz will be in full training next week, as confirmed by Jurgen Klopp during his pre-Bournemouth press conference:
The Liverpool fans took to Twitter to express their delight at the news:
“Big news” – @aaronjacko
“Music to my ears“ – @Hignett_Cameron
“LET’S GOOO“ – @AllThingsRedPod
“Title charge start from next week then“ – @ablfc55
“Great news“ – @nochdawe
“YESSSSSSS“ – @LFCFranciss
The Verdict: Massive boost
There is no downplaying how big this news is for Liverpool, with Diaz such an explosive performer from minute one at Anfield, causing defenders nightmares with his pace and directness from out on the left wing.
The £56,000-a-week wide man has scored ten goals and registered eight assists in 38 appearances for the Reds, not to mention being described as ‘crazy’ by Klopp.
With Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo all fit and battling for places, it may not be easy for Diaz to walk back into the team, and it makes sense to handle with him care and prepare him perfectly for next season more than anything.
He can certainly have a positive say between now and the end of the campaign, however, with his match-winning ability potential huge in the race for Champions League football.
