# Tottenham: Thomas Frank impressing Spurs

**Brentford manager Thomas Frank has been turning [Tottenham](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-hotspur-news/) heads amid [Antonio Conte](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tag/antonio-conte/)‘s links to a possible departure.**

### The Lowdown: Spurs weigh options?

The Italian’s deal is set to expire at the end of this season and [reports suggest](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-hotspur-news/premier-league-spurs-antonio-conte-update-latest/) that there is currently little appetite to extend his stay.

Spurs have the option to trigger a clause in his contract, which would keep Conte at the helm for a further 12 months, yet the[current odds](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-hotspur-news/premier-league-spurs-antonio-conte-update-latest/) are he departs past 2022/2023.

This has lead to [links](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-hotspur-news/premier-league-spurs-antonio-conte-mauricio-pochettino-update-latest/) with former manager Mauricio Pochettino among others and potential new name candidates are being mentioned on a consistent basis.

### The Latest: Frank impressing Spurs…

According to [The Athletic,](https://theathletic.com/4280226/2023/03/07/spurs-manager-conte-pochettino-tuchel/?source=emp_shared_article) Bees head coach Frank’s impressive run in west London ‘hasn’t gone unnoticed’ behind-the-scenes at Tottenham.

Indeed, the Dane is seemingly turning heads within the club as Brentford continuously impress on-lookers.

### The Verdict: Fantastic coach…

Frank’s side are arguably overperforming this [Premier League](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league-news/) season and currently stand a chance of qualifying for Europe.

Brentford lie [just four points](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) off Liverpool in fifth and possess a game in hand, gifting them a real opportunity to battle for a place in the Europa League next season.

What’s more, they’re [unbeaten in their last five](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) and have lost just four games this season – really not bad for a side who lost some star players (including Christian Eriksen) over the summer window.

Former Crystal Palace chairman and[talkSPORT pundit Simon Jordon](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8f8zTjNNpM) has called the 49-year-old a manager ‘of the highest calibre’ with all the evidence suggesting that take is bang on the money.
