# Tottenham: Spurs eye bargain Evan Ndicka move

**[Tottenham](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-hotspur-news/) are eyeing a bargain move for Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan Ndicka with Spurs officials sent to run the rule over him on Tuesday.**

### The Lowdown: Spurs eye new defender…

In the last few weeks, it has been [highly reported](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-hotspur-news/premier-league-spurs-transfer-rumours-latest-alasdair-gold/) by mainstream press that Spurs and sporting director Fabio Paratici are prioritising central defensive signings this summer.

It is [believed](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-hotspur-news/premier-league-spurs-transfer-rumours-latest-alasdair-gold/) that the north Londoners want two new centre-backs, one capable of playing on the left-side and another further right of [Antonio Conte](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tag/antonio-conte/)‘s defence.

The likes of [Alessandro Bastoni (Inter Milan) and Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace)](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-hotspur-news/premier-league-spurs-fabio-paratici-antonio-conte-alessandro-bastoni-transfer-update/) are on the transfer shortlist but a new report has now claimed that Ndicka is another name in the mix.

### The Latest: Tottenham eye bargain Ndicka move…

According to [90min,](https://www.90min.com/posts/tottenham-weighing-up-evan-ndicka-free-transfer) Spurs officials were sent to watch over the Frenchman as Eintracht succumbed to a 2-0 Champions League loss at the hands of Napoli on Tuesday.

Seemingly impressed, Tottenham and Paratici by extension are now ‘weighing up’ Ndicka’s signing on a free deal with his contract set to expire this summer.

### The Verdict: Make the move…

On a Bosman deal, Ndicka would certainly be a bargain for what Spurs could get.

The 23-year-old ticks chairman Daniel Levy’s box of a young player with real sell-on value and it is also a proven defender in the Bundesliga.

As per [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/45/Show/Germany-Eintracht-Frankfurt), Ndicka has seriously impressed under manager Oliver Glasner this campaign – making more clearances per 90 domestically than any of his teammates.

The colossal starlet also averages Eintracht’s[joint-highest rate of successful blocks](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/45/Show/Germany-Eintracht-Frankfurt) – leaving little wonder he is an undroppable in their side.

Ndicka has [played more league minutes](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/45/Show/Germany-Eintracht-Frankfurt) than anyone in their squad over 2022/2023 with all the signs suggesting he would be a real snip and one of the bargains of this year.
