### The Verdict: Right move?

The[£120,000-per-week](https://www.spotrac.com/epl/liverpool-fc/naby-keita-25997/) ace, despite suffering a [plethora of injury issues](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/naby-keita/verletzungen/spieler/302215) since joining Liverpool. has also impressed when on the pitch.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp, for instance, said just last year that Keita is [‘one of the best midfielders](https://www.rousingthekop.com/2022/01/14/jurgen-klopp-believes-naby-keita-is-one-of-the-best-midfielders-hes-ever-seen/)‘ he’s seen over his managerial career.

Over his 23 league appearances last season, the Guinean averaged an impressive two tackles per 90 on average, with only defender Konstantinos Tsimikas accumulating a higher number in the Reds squad [(WhoScored).](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/26/Archive/England-Liverpool)

Keita can clearly perform when available, with Klopp also calling him an [‘amazing player’](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1502546936175505408) last year, with the only question marks being around a turbulent fitness record.

Martin Keown once branded him a midfielder who has [‘everything](https://www.thesportreview.com/article/liverpool-fc-news-naby-keita-keown/)‘ you need but Tottenham would still be taking a risk based off Keita’s injury history.
