‘100% they can play together’ – Some Arsenal fans want to see more from this duo

Unai Emery has started Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey together in four out of the club’s six Premier League games this season and the fans are keen to see more of the midfield partnership. Neither of them looking very settled together in Emery’s system yet but that it destined to change the more they feature.

Ramsey and Ozil are two class midfielders who are both capable of winning games on their own on their day. However, with recent performances failing to convince some people of that these fans have come together to defend the duo and call for them to be given more time to adapt to the system with each other. Because Emery plays a 4-2-3-1, one of the two is always forced wide and it’s just about managing who will drift to the flank.

Of course, Mesut Ozil won the World Cup as a left-winger playing for Germany in 2014 but that doesn’t necessarily mean he should be shoehorned into being the man going wide. With Alexandre Lacazette up front, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the man going wide left, leaving a spot on the right and with one of either Ozil or Ramsey filling it, it’s not surprising to see the pair’s form dropping as they adapt.

The fans are keen to see the squad adapt to Emery’s style as soon as possible so they can get the best out of Ramsey and Ozil together.
