Manchester United are thought to be involved in a transfer tussle with Real Madrid over Sao Paulo attacking midfielder Lucas according to The Mirror.
The 19-year-old Brazilian is a regular starter for Sao Paulo who see him as a key playmaker for their side, he is also currently emerging in the Brazilian national side being capped 11 times already.
In his homeland the sensational teenager is rated as the next big thing to come out of the country alongside Neymar, something that has been noticed in Europe with both Milan clubs also holding an interest in gaining his services – both rumoured to of made bids in January which were rebuffed.
Lucas is valued at £12million, a figure which seems far too slim for a player with such immense talent which could see him develop into one of the finest footballers on the planet. Lucas has great skill and technical ability which when matched with his dribbling talents makes him an incredible player to watch. The player also has great passing capabilities which when combined with his flair and creativity make him a dangerous opponent for any defence.
Sir Alex Ferguson could see Lucas as being imperative in the rebuild of Manchester United’s midfield but will know it won’t be easy to get his man, as Europe’s elite could go into battle this summer for the Sao Paulo playmaker.
