The Liverpool fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern have had their excitement for the new season only heightened by images of their heroes returning to their Melwood training ground for the pre-season.

The local paper claim that Senegal international Sadio Mane will be back in with the first team for pre-season preparations as his rehabilitation from knee surgery at the end of last season comes to an end.
The former Southampton man, who picked up his season-ending injury against Merseyside rivals Everton, enjoyed an outstanding debut season at Anfield having moved from the south coast for a club record fee a year ago.
The 25-year-old stunned fans on Merseyside, as well as here in the Taven, scoring 13 and setting up another six in the Premier League under Jurgen Klopp and forming a key part of arguably the most potent attacking outfit in the division.
Our landlord has made it clear to the Reds in the bar just how important the winger will be if Klopp’s side are to succeed once again in the new season.
