The Man City fans in the Transfer Tavern still have no idea what their goalkeeping line-up is going to look like next season…
The recent capture of Ederson has made things somewhat more certain, but that leaves question marks over the future of Claudio Bravo – whilst Willy Caballero’s contract expires at the end of the month.
That is without including the future of Joe Hart, too, who faces a particularly uncertain few months. Unfortunately for him, it doesn’t look like his future will be decided anytime soon, either, with the Daily Mail reporting that he could yet play for the Citizens next season. Indeed, with no club yet to reach an agreement regarding a potential deal, and Hart himself said to be unwilling to get forced out, it is likely to be a very long few months for the English veteran.
It has been quite the fall from grace for Hart, who reportedly earns £130,000-per-week, over the last 12 months, with the goalkeeper a mainstay in the Man City first team just one season ago. A loan to Torino last year did hint at a return to form for Hart, but so far, it doesn’t look like Pep Guardiola is interested.
Still, he is clearly a top goalkeeper, and so our landlord thinks that a deal will be found eventually.
