The Bournemouth fans in the Transfer Tavern were in delirious delight after their side agreed a £15 million fee for Liverpool youngster Jordon Ibe last week, but the transfer has been delayed according to the Daily Mirror.
As you can well imagine, it has come to the chagrin to the South Coast locals in this evening.
The 20-year old is said to be wanting to listen to offers from elsewhere before committing his future to the Dorset based club, with the likes of West Brom and Newcastle reportedly interested.
After the Cherries saw Matt Ritchie leave earlier in the transfer window, Eddie Howe had eyed up the England under-21 as the perfect replacement on the right side of midfield.
The winger is also considering staying at Anfield, in an attempt to persuade Jurgen Klopp he has what it takes to break into the first team next season.
The Reds, where he has been since 2012, also had a buy-back option and sell on clause agreed with the Vitality Stadium outfit.
He moved from Wycombe Wanderers, and went on loan to both Derby and Birmingham, before making 27 appearances in the league for Liverpool last season.
Cherries fans are you praying Ibe chooses Bournemouth, or do you think you can do better? And what about you Liverpool fans, are you sad to see Ibe potentially leave, or is his time at Anfield up? Tell us down in the comments below.
