Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Luis Fabiano may step up a gear this summer after it has been revealed this season could be his last in a Sevilla shirt. The striker has revealed;
“Soon I will speak with the club and see what is best for both parties because I think my cycle here has come to an end. Because I renewed? At that moment I thought it was the best thing for everyone.”
Fabiano only signed a new contract last summer but it appears this has done little to keep the Brazilian international happy at Sevilla. The Spanish club will now look to cash in in the summer and Spurs are set to table a bid. They will however, have to fight off interest from other Premiership clubs including Liverpool and Villa.

The Brazilian is unhappy due to a lack of first team opportunities, these are his own words; “These past months have been difficult, there has been much speculation and injury, and the coach has decided to bench me. I went four consecutive games without playing”.
Winning over 40 caps for his country scoring 28 goals in the process, Fabiano is hot property despite his age. The 30 year old could add vital experience to any forward line and still has the pace and strength to compete at the highest level.
A bid of anything between £10-£15 million would be enough to secure his services. Harry Redknapp had been on the lookout for a top striker in January but had little success. The only problem this summer however will be to beat his rivals providing Chairman Levy provides the funds.
