Spanish football is very much the largest hotbed of talent in the world and it seems like every week there is a new star in the making that the top clubs around Europe are clambering to get their hands on.
Malaga’s inspirational youngster, Isco is the latest Spanish prodigy that has been rumoured with a move away from Spain as some of Europe’s finest are hoping to capture a little piece of that Iberian magic that has taken over the footballing world.
Premier League outfits Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for the 20 year old in January as these sides see the fledgling attacker as the missing pieces in their respective jigsaws.
The Spanish side my be forced to sell their hot prospect in the next transfer window because of the uncertain financial situation at the club and Isco could be sold for just £17million because of a buy out clause in his contract.
Isco already has a strong reputation in Spain having helped Malaga into the Champions League last season and playing at every youth level of the national side although he is still waiting for his first senior cap.
However if his form continues then he could soon find his way into the side. Isco has performed remarkably in the Champions League this season and he has a lot of exciting potential.
The kid has got everything and is brilliantly suited to playing off the front man He as great feet, can go past people, has great link up and, like every other Spanish youngster, he has got great technique.
He is composed on the ball and can spot a pass too, some have hailed him as the next Cesc Fabregas but for me he reminds me so much of Diego Maradona and the way he used to run with the ball and go past defenders like they weren’t even there.
I’m not saying he will be the next Maradona but if he keeps hitting the back of the net like he has done recently then he won’t be far off. Isco should be a player on every managers wish list as he looks like the kind of player that you could build a team around.
As for Spurs, City and Liverpool, the Spaniard would certainly be welcome and could really transform each teams fortunes and style.
Tottenham look like the perfect option for Isco at the moment with AVB’s set up looking ready made for the Spaniard to step in behind Defoe and become a play-maker for the Spurs attack.
The same could be said for Brendan Rodgers and Liverpool as he could provide that important link from midfield to attack that the reds have struggled with this season, not to mention chipping in with his fair share of goals aswell.
Other clubs looking at the 20 year old all have their positives and negatives as the best choice for Isco, Manchester City, Arsenal, Juventus and Manchester United are all rumoured to be interested although I’m not sure whether the Malaga man would be a first team regular and he would be cup tied for the Champions League.
This transfer is still up in the air really in terms of whether Isco will actually leave Malaga in January as he might be willing to fight on at the club and remain in Spain to see if the financial situation turns around.
However if Isco is to leave this January his best bet would be to head to White Hart Lane, Spurs are a club that are fighting for a top four place and it is a team where there is a ready made position for Isco to fill. Keep your eyes peeled Spurs fans as you might just be getting your hands on the next piece of Spanish footballing royalty.
