The Liverpool and Arsenal fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are desperate to see their clubs start throwing some money around this summer, with the rest of the top sides already getting going.
While the Gunners have already announced Sead Kolasinac on a free-transfer, neither of the two sides are yet to spend any money in this transfer window, and the fans here in the bar are starting to get twitchy.
However, there is some positive news from Spain this morning, with reports from Diario Gol claiming that Real Madrid starlet Marco Asensio is considering a move away from the Bernabeu this summer.
The report credits both Arsenal and Liverpool with interest in the £17m-rated winger, as well as Italian champions Juventus.
The 21-year-old, who scored a hat-trick for the Spain U21’s in the European Championships over the weekend, enjoyed a fantastic breakthrough season under Zinedine Zidane last season scoring ten goals in all competitions, including one in the Champions League final win over Juventus.
However, with a place in the starting eleven far from secured the youngster could well move on from the Spanish capital this summer in order to find more playing time in the new season.
Arsenal and Liverpool fans, we want to hear from you! Do you think Asensio will leave Madrid? Where would he fit in better, Anfield or The Emirates? Let us know…
